- "Breaking the fourth wall" refers to a situation in which a character reveals his or her awareness of the audience. See Wikipedia
- "Code Red" refers to the state of panic that emerges in the White House when China hints it may stop buying our debt.
- DSP refers to 'Democrat Socialist Party', a somewhat ill-conceived plan by members of the GOP to 're-brand' the DNC in light of their policies of late. It's funny and all, and makes for good press, which may have been the point. But leave the name calling to Heeby Jebbie, guys.
- "Entourage" is a 1/2-hour fictional program on HBO that portrays the exploits of 'Vincent Chase', a rising star in Hollywood, and his three home-town buddies as they seek the big time. The fellas usually come out on top of any situation, and if not, experience a soft landing until the next episode. As an avid fan, I refer to it as a show that always seems to put you in a good mood because the situations the characters face are Hollywood-surreal.
- expressionism [ik-spresh-uh-niz-uhm] –noun 1. a manner of painting, drawing, sculpting, etc., in which forms derived from nature are distorted or exaggerated and colors are intensified for emotive or expressive purposes.
- "Finding Dumbo" is a parody of the Disney-PIXAR film "Finding Nemo"; in the context of heeby jeebie, 'Dumbo' can have a number of symbolic references. I'd prefer it as codeword for "finding the republican party", whose symbol is the elephant. Pejoratively, it could mean finding a certain individual with big ears.
- FUBAR - acronym for "Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition"; Referenced in several films, such as Saving Private Ryan.
- "The Gullibles" is a parody of the Disney-PIXAR film "The Incredibles"; in the context of heeby jeebie, it refers to those placing their faith in government to save them.
- gabagool [gah-bah-guhl] -noun, slang. "Gabagool" is slang for "capicola", the spicy italian deli ham. Supposedly, it is not a mispronunciation, but is instead in Napolitan dialect, which is what the Sopranos and many Italian-Americans use.


- heeby jeebies [hee-bee-jee-bees] -noun 1. A feeling of minor fright, anxiety, nervousness, apprehension, "the willies", phobic. Coincidentaly, it is also the name of a Little Richard song, Little Richard being someone who gives me the heeby jeebies.



- one-worlder [wuhn-wurl-der] –noun 1. a person who supports or believes in any of various movements to establish a world government or a federation of nations stronger than any individual nation, for the purpose of promoting the common good. 2. a person who believes in the possibility of peaceful cooperation among nations.
- proselyte [pros-uh-lahyt] –noun 1. a person who has changed from one opinion, religious belief, sect, or the like, to another; convert.
- "Red Giant" refers in astronomy to a luminous giant star of low or intermediate mass (roughly 0.5–10 solar masses) that is in a late phase of stellar evolution. In heeby jeebie, it is code word for China.
- sociopolitical [soh-see-oh-puh-lit-i-kuhl] –adjective of, pertaining to, or signifying the combination or interaction of social and political factors.
- tick [tik] –noun 1. any of numerous bloodsucking arachnids of the order Acarina, somewhat larger than the related mites and having a barbedproboscis for attachment to the skin of warm-blooded vertebrates: some ticks are vectors of disease.
2. any of numerous social or political figures, entities, etc. who by way of parasitic attachment to a socially or financially responsible hosts, proceed to survive and/or thrive while causing the host to become overly-taxed, politically disenfranchised, or otherwise financially bankrupt. Examples: illegal immigrants, unions, career politicians.
